Today was the first time, my terrier, Daisy got excited about the weather these past few wet and dull weeks. Spring has finally come for her and she spent half and hour running figure 8′s and rolling in the grass. You can’t fool a terrier about sunshine.

Spring day for Daisy

When you spoil your mutt, there is hell to pay. Well, on Thursday and Lunar Fridays young Daisy likes to set her chops to spaghetti and meatballs freshly ground and mixed by hand.  It is quick to prepare and a treat to eat.

For the meatballs you require 3/4 lb of ground beef, 1/4 lb of  ground pork, 2 tbsp of breadcrumbs, a dash of cream, a dash of Keen’s mustard, 1 severely beaten egg, splashes of salt , pepper, parsley and 1/2 cup of chopped onions. Mix everything in a bowl. Fry in a pan for about 8 minutes turning meatballs and put aside. Yank open a bottle of Vodka Penne tomato sauce, heat in microwave and mix together. Serve over spaghetti.
